Apparently they are trying to sell the Euro 5 update as a new evolution of the same bike.

They would have been working on that engine a lot to try and gain more midrange and bottom end... Euro5 masks the gains they have created and once let to breathe on circuit that will be a very capable bike indeed. Not BMW levels of power but ample amounts.
I believe there was rumours of Yamaha lengthening the swingarm too as that's what all the race bikes have (15mm extensions)
