Re: UK law change set to allow isle of Man-style road racing
Woo I think this is very exciting but I wonder how long it will be before people are not happy about roads closing and the inconvenience, People who move next to tracks then moan, stupid, this is a bit different if the track comes to your home. I can understand that a bit more (may not personally agree with it as Id love a track on my front door)
Remember: If in Doubt use Full Throttle, It may not make the situation any better, But it will end the suspense...

Some areas will be more receptive to it than others. I'm old enough to remember street racing in Birmingham, that was very popular.

Could you imagine a race taking in the A483?

It would need to be some circuit layout IMO to maximise spectator viewing.
I believe there was a triangle of roads in Derbyshire which original hosted a event. Duke posted the route once. However saying that I would be surprised of anti biking Derbyshire council would allow such am event unless it was limited to 50 mph Max with average speed cameras on the course.

Yes there was a proposed event in Derbyshire but it never happened.

You should all come to Skelmersdale, every night's race night
we've got the M58 for drag racing and the famous Pimbo TT as well for a bit of two wheel small circuit stuff plus a roundabout that can be seen from the moon for all your knee down action and all the friendly plastic scousers you could ever wish to meet, its great

There was something kicking around at the beginning of the year about the Isle of Wight jumping on the Isle of Man band wagon
