Re: Pedrosa
Rumours suggested Marquez didn't want Lorenzo in the team which he has denied but maybe hrc management just don't want to upset what has to be the perfect situation for them.
Dani is quick but no threat to Marquez

Re: Pedrosa
It would be good to see Lorenzo and Marquez on the same bikes. I still reckon Marquez would do him.

Re: Pedrosa
In some ways I'm Suprised thought they may have had enough of pedrosa he's fast on his day but has to be the right day and he's made of glass . but like you have already said may be more to do with Marquez keeping him happy but did not think Honda worked like that.
"80mph" sorry officer I possibly could not have done that I'm no Valentino Rossi.

Re: Pedrosa
Marquez is hot property. Any team would pay over the odds to have him ride for them. Honda will do what they can to keep it so if that means putting up with Dani and his fragile bones then they will do so.

Re: Pedrosa
I'm surprised that Honda in the rest of the world haven't had something to say about it, 2 Spaniards in a Spanish sponsored team allegedly representing the best of a multi national like Honda? Pedrosa has had the best bike in the paddock for years and still can't win a championship on it. Admittedly the boy wonder can take him any time he wants but why have Honda kept him so long when there's always been other better, faster, most robust riders out there? Chuck Puig out of the paddock and see how long he's still there after that.

Re: Pedrosa
I think the big problem is Repsol being the title sponsor, Spanish company stumping up the money = 2 Spanish riders in a Spanish (Dorna) owned series, when you think how many rounds in Spain they used to have, also Bike racing is huge there so its all about the money

Re: Pedrosa
True, but it was Honda USA that had the political clout to get Nicky Hayden on that very bike a few years back, and it was Pedrosa that punted him off from behind and nearly cost Honda the title as well. Repsol obviously stump up a fair amount of cash, but I'd bet Honda put in at least as much if not more, that's why I'm surprised no other country in the Honda empire has pushed for a different nationality to more fairly represent the diversity of Honda around the world.

Re: Pedrosa
I think they have pushed for other riders and Hondas answer seems to be give them the customer bikes or works bikes in satellite teams, i.e Bradl on a factory Honda but not in Repsol team. Honda really want Johnny Rea apparently but from what I gather it would be that sort of scenario.
