It can't be diffcult to adjust the design to incorporate that thicker plastic. I can't keep affording 50quid a pop!!

What’s the screw/latch/visor set up guys?

I’m curious how they’ve designed it, and whether a simple home fix could stop it happening is all.

Looks like poor design to me. I presume the latch is screwed to the visor? It's a weak point if the visor is drilled by a stress point.

Visor is drilled iirc and 2 screws go through it and into the metal latch on the outside which looks like a handle for lifting the visor but is absolutely not, because that WILL crack the visor because of the stress points caused by the screws.

I like the helmet a lot but I have been browsing eBay for bargains on Shoei GT-Air 1 and Neotec 1...

Is the metal latch on the outside shaped to fit the curve of the visor? Atm it sounds as If HJC have missed a curved inner part of the latch to save money, if you back the inner and outer with a self adhesive coating and screw them together with the visor as the meat in the sandwich, it’ll probably cut the visor cracking right down or out all together. Point loading it with screw heads under tension will propagate cracks very easily.

That's what sensible people do... especially as I knew I needed them this morning . I suppose as a female my brain is wired up wrong in the DIY departments but as I do all the DIY (apart from knocking down walls) I should be better prepared...plus this job I hate doing so inadvertently delaying

Waiting in a premium number phone number for 17 mins waiting to get through. I swear the guy waiting at the other end is just playing around looking at the phone ringing and laughing at me saying 'this is for our Christmas do this year'
