Bunch of UK car modders have cars seized in Germany

Post on the Bridge to Gantry FB page saying how a group of UK car modders travelling to the Nurburgring have all had their cars seized by the German Polizei as they do not conform to German law.

I have read they are also cracking down on noisy exhausts too. The world is changing.

Hmmm, I'm in two minds about this.

I can understand why people would be pissed off having their cars stopped and seized, but they've been very public about the state of the cars, where they were going and what they intended to do. It didn't take much for the police to wait for them and have a good reason to do so.

There's been @ 120 similarly modded cars mainly from Norway that have also been seized, it appears.
The drivers from both countries, coincidentally all named Trevor, are not amused. I am.
