I took the long way home last night. It's my first ride in the dark for a while. Having limited visibility on a country road covered with crap and grit was alright to b fair.

I was racing an MT-09 for a bit, but he lost me overtaking on double whites. I don't do that.

I did manage to catch him up later on and did him nicely as we came up for a sharp right hander. I know the road really well, although the bend is sharp the camber lets you carry a bit more speed than you think you can. I overtook two cars then him and barrelled it nicely into the bend.

He bottled it after that.

On the downside the bike now has road salt on it so I need to give the little greenie a big wash this weekend. If I've got the time I'll do the winter prep so it won't get washed again until after winter.

Ha! Once again the motorways were crap so I had to ride the back roads in the dark. This time I didn't know the roads and I was hanging on to the back of cars to make sure I didn't fall off the road

Well yesterday...

Did a Blue Mountains loop on the GB400 with another GB owner. He’s just finished rebuilding it and retro fitted a full fairing. Looks good!

Because it’s not a standard fairing he’s had to put the clip ons quite low and drop the fork clamps. Makes it a nose down bum up type of ride.

It’s an Air Tech AJSM7, designed for thruxtons and bonnevilles.

Yes, I recognise it now, the Dunstall name has been around for years (since before I was a teen ). It was always quality kit, hadn’t realised they were still about!

Today I got it mucky, nearly 200 miles with the usual suspects, and I can confirm that damp, crappy roads are not the Avon Ultrasport's favourite thing, not when they have a 1.3 V-twin firing torque at the rear So I was taking it steady and silently thanking KTM for the traction control.

Also the Heated seat is very nice and it was my first ride in the new HJC helmet, I really like it except the visor detents are no good, it holds fully up or just open and locked closed so that's all you need really. Once I took the chin curtain out there was enough air flow to keep my glasses clear and the "SkipFog" pinlock type insert worked perfectly. Over all it is quieter than my GT-Air, a touch lighter and feels almost the same quality. Except the detents but the visor latch is better imo.

The Versys was washed, covered in ACF50 and the usual parts to suffer in winter covered in ACF50 grease.

The Africa Twin had a little ACF50 put on in places. I took the baffle out as well. I think I'll use it for work this week.

Went for a good old blat around Oxfordshire/Berkshire, even rode a new road, mental note made for next time.
A bit nippy, and that sun is so low, makes it a bit of a gamble of cars can see you, and you them lol....

Not my bike but I saw loads heading towards the NEC today. There were shedoads of Adventure bikes. Common as muck now.

I had to chuckle at a new Tuono with rider and pillion. Those bikes don't look big enough for the rider, let alone a passenger. Fair play to them for biking it though. It was fecking freezing this morning.
