What was the name of the website Nutz or cookie suggested was good for cheap mobile phones.

My lad is after one for Christmas.

If your thinking Android phones it's worth having a look at the honour range. Good solid phones, good prices and seem to have decent build quality.

I'd struggle with the concept of paying £600+ for a phone for one of my kids.

Oh, and be very careful if you look at eBay. Guy I work with bought a phone on eBay, brand new apparently.

Worked for 2 weeks the just stopped connecting to the network, turns out the seller reported it stolen for an insurance claim so it got blocked. eBay shrugged their shoulders and said it was nothing to do with them as the phone had been delivered..

My lad would have an iphone8 if I gave him free choice but that's not happening, he is 11 and doesn't need a premium flag ship phone.

Honor is a good suggestion Jon but I think he wants what he deems a cool brand to gain some street cred with his mates. I think that means Apple or Samsung in his world.

I've suggested a 2018 Samsung A8 as seen it for 240 on Amazon UK. Will check empirehut. Thanks for the link

I've shown him the Motoral G6Plus which looks a great mid range phone but he has a G5 now and he doesn't think Motorola is cool

Nope it's all good so far. With the warranty you have to send it back to empirehut and they forward it on as it isn't a UK warranty, but and of the reviews say this isn't a problem and is pretty quick.

Everything on the phone works the same as mine.
