Re: What did you do to your bike today ??
Took.ot out for a test ride (see QS recommendations thread for that post)
But on way home about 5 miles away I stopped at a set of traffic lights took a look down at the mirror storks and found my cover for the integrated indicator loose! I noticed it was the bloody other side this time! I knew I should of picked up a pair of them just in case! So i tried to pick it out and pop it into my pocket. I dropped it and went onto the floor I thought NO I want to see where it fails, bearing in mind it was a main traffic lights and lights were about to change I kicked the kick stand down and jumped off, grabbed it whacked it in to my pocket and as soon as i was lifting my leg to go it turned green! Off I went!
Looks like it's the little clip part which fails whoch effectively gives it side pressure which holds it in!!
I don't mind the price of the part what i do mind is the packaging and postage for the part...3 quid turns into 10 quid...I'll pick up a replacement soon!!

Finally put the 999 back together and gave her a good clean, up at the Cotswold airport on the tuono at the minute.

^^^^
It was supposed to be sold by now, but no takers. Might have better luck selling the 999 ? though when I put her back together and gave her a clean she did look nice.

I must admit I was very tempted but I thought it had been sold as the ebay listing was ended.

Keep the 999. It's one of those bikes that is more than the sum of it's parts in ways a Multi never can be.

I put a hole through my mates carbon fibre on the Arrow underseat exhaust on his Daytona 675R....
The previous owner had sheared the baffle bolt off and I was drilling it out. Oops

I still have my baffle bolt for my Arrow underseat silencer on my 675..
..I think..
it slipped into the can, and rattled it's way down the link pipe where it's waiting 'till I next remove my system.

Re: What did you do to your bike today ??
It's okay, I retapped the nut and put a 6mm M5 in there. It'll hold - hopefully.
To be honest, it was measuring less than 90dB without a baffle on my phone at 6500 RPM so I doubt it needs it. It's probably similar to the 96dB of my Leo Vince with the secondary silencer

Re: What did you do to your bike today ??
It was pretty dark this morning. This time of year isn't great for being on two wheels, Cold wet roads covered in leaves, dark roads, drivers with fogged up windows. There's a lot to deal with.
