
Anyway, mid panel on right hand side needs to come off as well as the belly pan to do the service and hay presto some oaf at the only place we have ever had the bike serviced has cross threaded the engine bolt that holds the r& g crash slider on.
I've managed to turn the mid fairing on the bolt enough to get at the oil filter (once I removed the radiator reservoir) so I can service and put it back together, however it's bloody frustrating!
I guess I'm going to have to get it helicoiled at some point (not quite sure of the french on that one yet

It comes out about an inch and tightens again fine, but then just spins after an inch on the way out

Bloody garages do piss me off.
