Quick question about michelins

Very quick one if anyone knows, replacing my rear Michelin pilot power and realise I've ordered a pilot power 2ct in, tyres look identical, as far as I can tell only difference is the 2ct has a different compound on the edges, wondering if people think this will be ok with the standard pilot power on the front or hold off and get in the (cheaper) pilot power.

Personally i dont see a problem mate. I thought they were the same tyre apart from 2CT too. I had the pilot powers for a little while and thought they were very good the only difference is now your rear will last longer haja!

If you have the option to return it then it's preferable IMHO.

Better not to be on mismatched tyres. Not necessarily because it's dangerous but more that they work together better when a matched pair.

It's the same tyre, just one is 1 compound, the other is that compound in the middle and just the edges are a softer compound

Well i sort of figured my riding wasn't fast enough to push the front harder but figure always worth asking the question

Don't worry about mixing tyres it's a load of cack they will work fine. A mate that does track days all over Europe uses a blade and swears buy a Avon front and a conti rear I've ridden the bike and it stuck to the track like glue

well Ive just had the rear swapped, ill scrub it in and see how it feels, if it feels off for any reason then Ill swap the front too

Out of interest ho2 much did you oay for Michelins? I fancy getting another pair of those. Ot maybe the M5 Interact but i do like Mitchelins

I used BT021’s and 023’s on the Daytona as I commuted a lot on it, and found the same Rossgo, very wooden. They gripped ok but crap feel.

Im sure they would give good mileage. Also dont lile how it feels like you drop at the end of the tyre, never really had a problem using a lot of the tyre before but on these i jist can't crank it over lol

I always thought I just couldn’t feel the feedback from tyres, like everyone else seemed too. But once I got the track bike and using racetec’s then the Multi on Angel GT, I realised it wasn’t me, as I got loads of feed back, especially on the Racetecs, it was just those BT’s.

Heard RaceTechs are a brilliant trye. I wish tyrrs were cheaper to test out so we know what each feel like.its hard to decide what we like until we feel them!!

Love Racetecs, but you just can’t get them hot enough on the road, plus they aren’t strong enough in the sidewall to withstand our roads bumps and potholes and destroy wheels as a result.
