Talking in your lid

Does anyone else do this?

I find myself saying "thanks" or "cheers mate" if a driver moves over as I'm filtering. I know they can't hear me but I still do it.

I do, sometimes, hum and sing to myself too lol On motovudu by Simon Crafar he talks about how if it helps when going fast scream at the bike to get over the fear of opening the throttle fully, he said that a few of the GP riders would yell down straights and stuff

Swear, yes. Not just at others on the road but quite often at myself for doing stupid things.

I do talk in my lid and also sing! If I screw up I'll even say sorry when I know full well they can't hear me! Glad I'm not the only one!

Yes I always talk to my self or sing , on the way home up the m1 the other day in the rain i repeated "Why the F!"£K are there speed cameras here when they have finished the barrier / road" no one was listening but it help my sanity at 50mph.

When I rode down to the mother in law's the other week, I ended up speaking to myself in a myriad of different accents.
I was cold, wet and aching after 3 hours on the bike and started with a Cockney accent and worked my way through French, Russian, Scottish and Welsh.

I have no idea why.

I do the "screaming at the bike" on trackdays, but other than that I'm usually listening to the radio or music so don't talk in my lid.

I talk to myself like "I couldve done that bend a little faster" .... but just recently found myself humming at the same tone as my exhaust

Yes all the time, on solo rides I tend to narrate the ride to myself, woman and child on the left, car looks like he is gonna pull out, etc..... And yeah, cor look at the arse on that is a fav ha ha.
On the long runs, " are we there yet - are we there yet- are we there yet...cake time"

I'm quiet until something upsets me or scares me, at that point I'm screaming blue murder at either the reason for my anger or to no one in particular if its just me/the bike/the road surface causing the problem. It's much the same on the track as the road, I'm normally concentrating so hard there's nothing left for anything else.

The main noise I make in my lid is to giggle like a school girl when I thoroughly enjoy some bike related shenanigans, section of road, echo of exhaust note or stupid acceleration...

But I do swear a lot at cars too.

I actually got on the bike a couple of times when I was home. still not 100% finished or painted, but it is rideable and registered.
