I was woken up last night by the winds whipping down the road. Then the thunder and lightning kicked in. The thunder was so loud the house shook and there were car alarms going off. After that display of power we had a massive hail storm. It came down so thick and fast the entire road was white.
The drive into work was entertaining with bits of tree scattered across the roads.

You know it's windy when you go for your morning dump and the the water is bobbing up and down in the toilet bowl.

Re: Storm Eleanor
I was woken up last night in the small hours by the sound of the front of the house being alternately shot blasted by marbles and then hosed by a half dozen fire engines, all to a soundtrack of screaming wind and bins/recycling boxes rattling up the road.
Surprisingly I went back to sleep without too much effort.

Mind you, the BBQ was on the other side of the garden and the fence was hanging down... The oxford cover on the bike hadn't budged a millimeter (bit like me)

Re: Storm Eleanor
Extremely windy that day. We had branches falling off the trees in our car park...i was worried for our cars to be honest as a hand full of months back we had a very windy night and a tree blew down lucky to the side of our car park so no cars were harmed!
