Re: What are you doing today ??
I had a shopping day today, the most important piece of equipment in the house failed us, the kettle... By the time we left Currys we had bought a Kettle, 4 slice toaster and a Kenwood microwave (I thought they made HiFi stuff?) And I had wondered off and noticed that the LG G6 had £220 off, my G4 is getting tired and gobbling battery power recently so one of those came home too.
Merry Christmas from me to me. Now off to Ebay for a case, screen protector and some USB C leads.

I have seen the Killers before at Brixton Academy so knew a bit of what to expect, I have been waiting years to see Depeche Mode and it was one of my bucket list concerts, it actually blew me away it was that good. ive always been a fan of their music at what a back catalogue they have.Deegee wrote:Their Glastonbury set was awesome, I’d have thought they’d blow DM out of the door tbh, but that’s just my personal taste kicking in. I’m jealous Mick, keep us posted on how it goes.kingfixer wrote:Leaving work early today as were going to see the killers at the O2 tonight, they will have to be good to beat Depeche Mode last Sunday at the Arena in Birmingham that was absolutely brilliant
Mind you its hard to beat the killers when Mr Brightside is the last song of the evening, jesus the place was bouncing !!

Balanced the radiators as the plumber hadn't bothered and then school him in why he shouldn't close the automatic bypass valve in fully as he didn't know and it had never been set up correctly.
Why is it I know more about the plumbing and heating system in my house than the guy who installed it
We are talking a fully qualified and registered plumber working for a major compnay and I'm just a self taught layman

Sadly Blade isn't alone. There's a big problem with a lot of new builds going up and not being built to a decent standard. Snagging is a massive issue.

Items of repair needed to be carried out so that a build is of satisfactory quality. You should know that.

IMHO a professional is not always an expert, and the best expert on any subject often doesn't choose to be a professional in the field.??Blade wrote:.......Why is it I know more about the plumbing and heating system in my house than the guy who installed it,,,,,,

Re: What are you doing today ??
I managed to smash a finger changing the winter wheels on to the car, the 17" summer wheels needed a good clean before being put away and during that, one with the heavy, solid, harsh no good tyres fell face down. I caught it in a fashion and kept it form being damaged but this blackening finger nail smarts a bit.
2 have excellent Michelin tyres, 2 have Bridgestones (soon to be replaced, probably with Uniroyal) all weigh a lot more than I thought they would.

Haha I bet you do. Nice bloke just doesn't know as much as he thinks he does and also talks some rubbish.
He was trying to tell me how my house inside temperature will change by up to a degree every 5 minutes if it's windy.
Even the missus said but the winds outside and the house is wind proof

Spending the day tomorrow in Manchester trying to settle a case
We're £15,900,000 apart so using my years of experience my opinion is that this one won't settle
