And they sounded red hot as well! Good range of music even for an oldie like me. Mind you I was in the ‘mindset’ for nearly anything that nightKwacky wrote:Female bassists

Re: What do you want to praise today?
I'd imagine I'm not on my own with this one...
...most commutes (whether morning or afternoon) I typically find myself in convoy with a guy from work. This guy has a modified car with about 100bhp more than mine but we still enjoy a bit of quick driving in certain places and the odd drag race. We also have an unwritten rule where if someone is not moving out of the 3rd lane we will swap places to each try and get that driver to get out of the way - it usually works.
Well I had the same again this morning and it was one of the most fun commutes in a while. Driving in tandem through the twisties and I was managing to keep up with him despite coilovers and grippier, wider tyres.
Best thing, we don't ever speak to eachother out of the car, just give eachother a nod when we see eachother.

The new company car list. Came through yesterday and for the first time in fifteen years, there are petrol cars on it.
Golf GTI it is then!

Ooh.. very nice!
I don't understand the whole "no petrol" thing for company car lists, if you don't do many miles you are better off with a Petrol. If you're based in a city you're also better off in a Petrol as it's less harmful to people than Diesels (Diesels are worse to people, Petrols are worse to the environment)

Re: What do you want to praise today?
It was incentivised from a TAX point of view because diesel engines tend to have lower CO2 emissions than petrol. It's only quite recently that they realised that the particulates were killing people.

Nope, sadly only the Giulietta is on the list.

Go for a hybrid C Class Merc. The tax savings are well worth it.

Re: What do you want to praise today?
Not on there Duke, just VW, Renault, Hyundai, Toyota and Lexus Hybrids. I am quite tempted by the Golf GTE, 204 BHP and a £48.12/£96.76 BIK rate. Only 30 BHP down on the GTI which is £134.03/£268.05.

Re: What do you want to praise today?
Funnily enough, this is on the list and it's the full leather business lounge version with 6 seats and a table.

But it's a 40K car/van and would cost me nearly 500 quid a month in TAX. Plus I'd look a right c**t in it on my own for 99% of the time!
