Re: What do you want to vent about today?
I once had an incident in my step mum's car with a Darwin-award nominee...
Pitch black, hammering with rain, wipers on max speed. I was doing about 20mph in a 30 zone. Teenager in all black walking on the road directly towards me. In the car. With headlights on. I see him last minute and lock up, stall, etc while he jumps out of the way and slams his hand down on the bonnet. He has the cheek to start running his mouth off meanwhile gfCav winds the window down and starts yelling at him - he shuts up and walks off. First and only time the gf has had a go at someone in her life!

Re: What do you want to vent about today?
Last weeks two lads were walking long and I was about to turn left. They weren't looking, I knew they were about to step out. As I started turning I sounded my horn to stop them from walking out into the car. I got dogs abuse from the one muppet. Pricks.

I seem to recall that pedestrians actually have the right of way, where a side road crosses their path to join a main road.?Kwacky wrote:Last weeks two lads were walking long and I was about to turn left. Re: What do you want to vent about today?
They do.
But they also have a duty to stop and look before crossing to ensure that it is safe.
I also have a duty to sound my horn to warn others of my presence where I believe they have failed to do so or I am obscured.
So me sounding my horn whilst they were still on the pavement to prevent them from stepping out into the road into possible harm was the correct course of action. However, they didn't seem to appreciate that.

I think no one sees the horn as it's intended purpose as a warning sound. People wrongly see it as an offensive action.

Apparently not but me and Kwacky seem to be in the minority in believing this so I think most people will get what you mean

I prefer an actual hand signal over a horn, ensures no mix up of meanings

Blade, we live in a lonely world where only a handful of us are in the right.

It strikes me that this version of the image you posted appears to be a far truer likeness to Kwacky & Blade.:
