Only on dual carriage ways when you want to get a wriggle on. I miss the fairing.

Apart from that, nope. It was a good relationship with the RSV, we did a lot together, but the time to change was right.
Same with the RC8 - i miss the power but only onto long straights occasionally. I do love my new one :)

10-15 minutes to fit, mostly taken up by having to borrow a couple of parts fun the original clutch level.

Just need to test them out now and get then setup.ImageImage

looking at them I guess they are adjustable ones, undo the screw on the back and shorten or lengthen to suit

10/10 good spot that man.

I'm fussy, I like a short brake lever but a full length clutch. This let's me have everything just the way I like it.

Had a prick in a Porsche convertible hunt me down on the motorway for daring to undertake him. Him and about 5 cars all in the outside lane, waiting for the car in front to get out of their way. I sail by and carry on as normal. I don't do silly speeds on the motorway, too many unmarked cars about, so I kept the same speed.

About 5 miles matey boy comes tearing up my backside in the middle lane, swerves to go to overtake me, pulls alongside, shakes his head then scream off.

As I move to the left and peel off, this is my junction mate.

So not what i did to the bike but the bike scared the absolute shit outta me, doing 80 on the motorway in standard mode coming up to my junction, tap the mode button to whack it in A mode for the nice sweeper off the motorway and following twisties, acidently push mode button twice and end up in underpowered B mode, no worries tap it another few times back to A open the throttle expecting all hell to beeak loose........

Nothing......

Completley dead throttle......

Switch modes still nothing......

Down the gears into the hard shoulder, nearly lock the rear as i downshift.....

Restart bike, fine.......

Get off motorway and try same again, close throttle switch mode, open throttle fine, and again fine, go through repetedley, same thing happens and bike dies......

Get home after sticking in std mode and ring yammy dealer, never heard of ot so they ring yamaha, looks like i basically confused the ride by wire system and ecu by asking it to change that many times before opening the throttle, see how i go but seems a bit of a flaw to me, juat glad to be home after the inital motorway episode and locked rear....

(sweat)

Rode it like I stole it to the dealers. There is nothing like time pressure to focus you as road to dealers closed 20kms away . got to be there by 9.

Diversion attack mode :). I dread to think how fast you can go once serviced :)

@blade, you got a replacement in mind?

@cavetroll weird how you can do that to a bike, it should be able to deal with your changes to it and there should be a control in place to make sure it can cope

@cookie I guess you'll find out later on.

You know what they say, it's better to regret something you have done than to regret something you haven't. No point thinking about getting one and not doing it. Plus you've had a load of shit to deal with, so why not treat yourself?
