I mentioned on the Versys site that it's a bi difficult to use a paddock stand.

I fitted some bobbins so I could use my paddock stand.

What I found was that the paddock stand is very hard to get into place because of the position of the number plate and the location of the bobbin holes, which are further forward on the swingarm than most bikes. The top part of the stand comes up to the number plate.

It was difficult to get the paddock stand into place, keep it there and then get the rear wheel off the ground. For the first time in few years I asked my wife to help me get the bike off the stand as I didn't trust doing it on my own.

One of the guys on there has built this bike jack. He's told me he's going to send me one to test out. If I like it I'll buy it.

I have to say out of the two the bike jack looks a lot easier to use and quicker.

Both look good to be honest. That snap jack looks pretty impressive just got to watch your hands as your locking it in and out of position in case it tags some of your skin. Either one looks like they will work mate. Let us know what you think when it arrives

The jack has turned up. It's a solid piece of kit and looks well made. It is heavy so it's not going to be something you want to carry around with you on a long trip unless you've got the room in your hard luggage.

I'm surprised your bike doesn't come with a centre stand. Those jacks look good though.

I've used it on the street triple. I struggled to get it to fit. I sent a text to Stevie the maker and he called me and talked me through it. I was putting the jack too close to the bike and had the base plate the wrong way round. It's that easy to use I managed to jack the bike up with one hand while I was talking to Stevie.







The front brake is engaged with a strap, the left is on the side stand and the right on the jack. It moves the bike up and down slowly so there's no sudden movement which you get with a paddock stand or the snap jacks I've seen.

You can see that the blue bricks outside my house aren't exactly level and they don't offer much grip but the jack is really stable and didn't move. It almost means you don't run the risk of marking the swingarm or frame with a paddock stand or abba stand.

It;s a nice little piece of kit.

The marker is very good too tall you through it and clearly is a very good bit of kit when you get the hang of it! Also looks lile you've given your tyres a nice little work out!!

looks like a cracking bit of kit and would expect a much higher cost than that, I have no need for one but I'm almost tempted myself haha

Thats a great price for something useful.

If i didn't have a few paddock stands and an abba stand i'd buy that.
