Re: What did you do to your bike today ??
Being completely honest I used to love commuting, its wearing thin now but atm I have no other choice coz the Mrs needs the car during the week until she goes back to work full time from Maternity Leave - I'm not saying I wont commute by bike anymore, but be nice to have the choice again. Plus my hack is really starting to get on its last legs and I'm not really sure its worth throwing the money at it.Cav wrote:I don't miss playing "dodge the d!ckwad" anymore - I get better MPG in the car too

I was the same.. loved commuting until my 4th year of it then I just couldn't hack it any longer. I occasionally commute in by bike but there's really little point for me.
The commute by bike is longer due to putting gear on and not having an opportunity to filter. The only reason the bike would be quick is because I can easily hit an indicated 170mph on the way there for 15 miles

Re: What did you do to your bike today ??
If ordering parts and talking to people counts than I did stuff, if not then I just looked at it.
I ordered a K&N air filter from opie oils, talked to jordan bikes about remapping and which mods are worth doing, and am hot on the trail of a lightly used LeoVince decat and a set of AIS blockoff plates (too loud for him with a stubby can so I will get a longer one). Just an end can to find and she's ready for the rollers.

Have fun fellas.
My ride in to work was a little bit damp but the rain was light and patchy. Hopefully it'll be clearer where they are.

Re: What did you do to your bike today ??
Had a ring round of mechanics as the hack needs the heard race bearings done and as its worth bugger all I really don't wanna spend a fortune and Its not something I can really do myself as not sure how I'd keep the front of the bike a lot without the forks in. £150 best quote so far, Just trying to decide now If I can be bothered or just sell the bike cheap now and buy something else

Had one session. Forgot how tiring track riding can be. Having a few issues with bike running hot. Just refilled radiator. Sat this session out and will be ready for next one.

Have fun Duke.
A few teething problems are to be expected with all the work you've had done buddy.
Enjoy it

Rick at JHP appears to have sorted it. Temperature fine all that session and I really enjoyed it. Not the slowest nor the fastest but huge fun.
