My Home Screen is clean, only the bare minimum

Second page is over 100 apps all organised and regularly used
LOL, those three apps at the bottom are setting my OSD off, why are they on the folders only screen?

Because they are the most used atm and saves digging through folders to get them.

The far right one is our COVID check in app, photos and the cube timer. Though the cube timer hasn’t been used much lately should be moved into a folder

We had a 2-hour Global teams meeting this morning to discuss organisational changes. I've been here for 2 years and every month there are organisation changes. I'm really unsure what they think this change will achieve over the others as they're increasingly muddying the water.

Our site has had repeated production job cuts and yet they're creating even more management jobs. They say no site is changing yet ours is being ripped to shreds. When asked about profitability of the site they dodged the question. It's a little bit worrying to say the least although I feel fairly safe in my role. We were at about 15 and lost 6 in 1 year (although they still think our team is overstaffed).

Labour is of course a rapid way of saving cost, but when they cut labour, expect higher throughput and introduce a new product all in the same month, they're taking the piss.

My mate that works at Sydney Water was chatting to his manager about me. They are in the Water Supply division where the job I applied for was in Waste Water Treatment.

His manager wants me in his division. He offered me a part time job straight up but I can’t leave offshore for that atm. He then called me yesterday and told me they had listed a job 2 levels higher than the one I had applied for, supervisor role, but in their division. Told me he wanted me to apply for it and let him know when I had so he could grab my file. So that’s been done.

Don’t know where all this will lead but seems likely I’ll be working for Sydney Water at some stage (lol)

First shift for DHL last night and I'm knackered, it's nice and relaxed paced work with safety above everything which has made me realise how hap-hazard the bus driving lark is.
They have me paired with another driver for my first week and he did all the driving so I was just sipping coffee in the passenger seat most of the time but will be driving on Thursday night, that's the worst thing about the job so far, the shift pattern's I got offered to choose from all have me working all weekend... Thursday - Monday is the one I chose.
Okay for now, but when the weather warms up I might be needing Saturday nights off so I can get the bike out on a Sunday morning.

Loading and unloading is more physical than I'm used to but I can handle it no problem, I'm going to enjoy it and it's a decent pay raise (Nearly £12K take home more than bus driving).

That's a nice hefty chunk of extra change to be taking home.

Nah, she’s actually struggling more and more with me going away.

And anyway, with my multiple personalities she never knows who she is going to get so how can she get bored (lol)

Well, he may be. 8) However I wouldn't want to encroach without a substantive reason.

So my work has made the media, we’ve had a COVID outbreak on the Floating Storage and Offtake Vessel. It’s 2.4 km away from the platform and interaction is very limited and easy to completely stop all together.

But still glad I’m not going out just yet.

I've got an interview with a Scandanavian company next week and just got the results back from the psychometric test they put me on. Fingers crossed, but after a quick scan of the results it looks like they haven't worked out I'm a ****.

It won't take them long if you go in for an interview ;)
