So far today I've cleaned the Guinea pig hutches and sat on my arse doing feck all.
The highlight of the day was watching the minion movie with the kids.
Good Sunday so far.

Got the bike out for a quick spin... I was getting withdrawal symptoms big time, its been ages. New tyres on and it was a blast, new tyres always feel so good. I was bloody freezing though, I could not feel my fingers for hours afterwards. I will be looking to purchase some of them hand muffs for the bike, I cannot stand cold fingers, and my winter gloves just dont cut it.

Ha ha that's the problem, yes there is and they are really good and hot, but my hands were really feeling the cold brr... however I have ordered tonight a pair of inner gloves, which I will try first, new technology by all accounts If that does not work the muffs it is ha ha ha... the rest of my body was warm, its just the hands/fingers.

What about heated gloves Frankie ? Sound a better option than heated grips.

That should successfully prevent any heat from the grips reaching your hands.Frankie wrote:Ha ha that's the problem, yes there is and they are really good and hot, but my hands were really feeling the cold brr... however I have ordered tonight a pair of inner gloves, which I will try first, new technology by all accounts If that does not work the muffs it is ha ha ha... the rest of my body was warm, its just the hands/fingers.

Re: What are you doing today ??
No I have thought about this, I have my winter polar gloves which dont let any heat from the grips into the hands, Ok they are old and the finger ends are worn, but still my hands stay cold once they get cold.
I tried a slightly thinner glove which allowed the heat from the grips, but they got too cold in the end, even though I could feel the heat from grips.
So my thought is to try with an inner glove, this combo could give the correct level to allow for heat and maintain it. I will see.
As for heated gloves, It seems for the money they dont last very long and not that good when wet, however I am not dismissing the idea, but i will see how this goes first.

Re: What are you doing today ??
As today has been a total slob day I ended up working out holiday dates for next year...
Sadly they aren't compatible with the BBS dates for Almeria, so unless I find a grand or two under the sofa it looks like I'm staying at home next year... That said, I'm quite looking forward to trying out a couple of new tracks. Brands Hatch is on the list, and I'm thinking one more further afield...

Re: What are you doing today ??
First day back after a Lon g weekend and I am really feeling it. can't be parsed to be here hut on the plus side its only a couple of hours left.
Oh on a side note I take a 30 min break at around 11am but everyday it seems the machines **** up at this time so I'm always late on break. I have arranged my staff to go on their breaks first and I take the late one making sure everyone has theirs and also I personally prefer a later break. But it brings me on to a question. does this happen to anyone else. Ie machines work perfectly all the way to I til your break time?

Re: What are you doing today ??
Went to go jarring last night. was really good but there was a group of dickheads who clearly race or used to race and didn't see the light hearted parts of the evening. Whenever I overtook or got close they force you off the line and if you took their line when in front they didn't bother to slow down they just whacked into you, so instead of backing down I took a few of them bastards out, hope it hurt them and not just physically but hope they were pissed off because their times dropped. But I will say their times were incredibly quick
