Looks like they've shot themselves in the foot with it, leaving legitimate business and individuals exposed.

There are a lot of holes in the legislation. I've always thought high levels of encryption should be licensed in businesses as this would allow privacy to continue be img met and those doing it for criminal purposes would then be obvious.

The bill does go too far. Saying that they are welcome to keep all my data. I don't operate illegally nor is it interesting frankly. It's the use of the data and checks and balances being done to make sure it's not leaked or abused that is of more importance.
