I'm selling something on ebay and I didn't put a reserve on but the item is not going as well as I thought it would, am I right in believing I can take it off sale and if so how close to the auction ending ?
Thanks in advance.

Re: Ebay advice
I think you can remove an item if you have stated you have it advertised elsewhere and have the right to remove it at any time., but I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong

Re: Ebay advice
Or you could, if you don't mind the moral implications, get a friend or fellow slapper to bid on it and bump up the price.
I've not done it myself but have had other people ask me when the price isn't where they want it to be.
If the friend wins the auction then you can sell it again "due to timewasters" or something, but you do have to pay the listing fees and everything!

Re: Ebay advice
You can remove it as long as its not within 12 hours of the item ending.
I did it the other week when someone offered to buy both items i had up for sale.

itchy, I was going to suggest that too, but as I'm new here I didn't want people to think I'm a crooked wench

Re: Ebay advice
I did it for a friend once on his mountain bike. It pushed somebody else's maximum bid up.
Then he asked me to do it again (getting greedy).
I won it.
Next day he told me I had to pay him. I gave him a dead leg and we called it quits!
