This has led to recalls in the states I believe, overheating in warmer climates....
no worry of it happening over here
Remember: If in Doubt use Full Throttle, It may not make the situation any better, But it will end the suspense...

There has been a recall for fuel venting on the V4.
This guy fitted an aftermarket fuel cap not designed for the V4. I believe Ducati replaced the bike FOC.

Quite possibly....if the breather hose isn't in place correctly then the fuel will come seeping out of the cap/seal itself, run down onto the engine & ignite.
Don't ask me how I know this.
