Old War Wounds

My arm has been playing up over the last few months. Certain movements cause me pain. I've struggled to do certain exercises in the gym and therefore struggled to put any muscle on my arm and shoulder.

I saw my treating surgeron thi smonring, the one who put the metalwork in. Looking at the x-rays you can see the two screws at the bottom of the large nail in my right arm. The upper screw is fine and is covered in bone but the second screw is sticking out. So I'm now listed for an operation to have it removed. Hopefully that will sort things out. All I've got to do now is wait for a date.

Better to get it sorted now than leave it too long. My uncle had a serious accident which required quite a lot of metal work to remain. He also had a rod and screws to help his humerus set correctly but unfortuantly some of the metal work ended up lodged in an awkward postion in his elbow which has now resulted in him only having approx 70% movement in the elbow.

Good luck mate and I hope the Op comes around soon for you.

It doesn't seem to give me any major issues. Its still quite scarred from the op. but other than a minor twinge now and again it all seems OK.

Isn't it 3 years since your crash?

29th April 2011. The date of the royal wedding.

Perky, I don't think the two are connected. Tiredness, certain foods, exercise and stress seem to be the only triggers I've found so far, but they don't alway trigger the headaches and I don't always have those triggers when a headache kicks in.
