Re: Birmingham lake tragedy
I wasn't under my parents eye 24 hours a day. It wasn't unusual for me and my brother to hang out with older kids.
I think the parents will be feeling guilty and hollow enough as they spend Christmas looking at unopened presents.

I’m not saying the parents deserve any more misery than they already have now, the guilt must be awful but a 6 year old out without an adult is unacceptable to me.

Re: Birmingham lake tragedy
Initially I thought it was adults on the lake who would have known better but with kids it’s much harder to see reason.
When I think now of some of the stupid and potentially dangerous things I did as a kid, it’s a wonder any of us make it to adulthood. Sadly for these lads it’s cost them their lives.

Re: Birmingham lake tragedy
I see that the 10 year old who died went in to the lake to try and save the others
