Ah, I see now why you chose a KTM....
It colour coordinates to your workshop bench.
Very tasty looking that mate. I wish my beloved old Honda also had an alloy frame, and really wish it had a stainless expansion box.

Re: Two Smoke KTM
Great day yesterday with my daughter and neighbours at Bromyard on Saturday
Felt far more comfortable on the ktm ,it’s lighter and easier to handle than the the big 450.Proper WP oil forks as well , I never really liked the air forks on the KX I don’t know why manufacturers use them
It’s going to take a while to adjust to the crazy power band though, it’s pretty mental on the pipe

Re: Two Smoke KTM
rode Bromyard this Sunday , haven't rode for a while and was very wobbly during the first session
Started to feel better in the afternoon but still struggling to adapt to the 2t power band, more saddle time and patience required
Booked Cleeton mx (Cleobury Mortimer) this Wednesday afternoon if anybody is about

10 on a chinese pit bike ,she destroyed in about 6 months and complained it wasnt fast enough
she now rides adult race tracks and I am selling her 65 as shes outgrown it , KTM 85 SX next
I think its a brilliant family sport, if you are not fussy about having the latest bike its also relatively affordable

Re: Two Smoke KTM
Delighted that you could still describe it as a "great day" Perkles, even making the point that Evie was flying..

As with everyone above, wishing you the best recovery & attention of the prettiest nurses.
P.S. How's the bike.?

Re: Two Smoke KTM
not sure but think its ok, the wrists dont hurt much but the broken shoulder is something elseStMarks wrote: ↑22 Jun 2023, 09:12Delighted that you could still describe it as a "great day" Perkles, even making the point that Evie was flying..![]()
It's a bugger about the injuries though. "broke both wrists" sounds pretty serious, something that (thankfully) I've never managed, so I hope it has less implications than we may consider.

Re: Two Smoke KTM
It is what it is. Relieved to hear the wrists aren't proving to be the problem I'd envisaged.
You'll probably not remember, but about this time last year I crashed at Cadwell. Nothing as serious as you, just a tiny chip on the end of my left clavicle & a couple of ribs.
I've broken both shoulders a number of times, but this time I took a lot longer to mend than I used to, but eventually the bones re-set..
However..
What I hadn't realised was that the way the force impacted actually also tore some ligaments n my upper arm and shoulder, such that when my shoulder healed & I started to use my arm properly again I found that if I reach back to lift I am hit with an almost crippling pain. That issue is still with me a year on, and VERY annoying.
Hope you fare much better...
What you don't want to hear, is about my shoulder...

Re: Two Smoke KTM
Not a cheerful post, I realise.
Fwiw my tinking was .... : If Perkles has medical cover ( often through work ) he may want to get checked out for similar hidden issues rather than wait until his bones heal only to discover...
I'm very happy for you to delete it Kwacky, if you think he'll take it badly..
