Sorry, not posted for a while. Thinking of buying a Ducati Scrambler Full Throttle. I'll be keeping my other bike. Anyone got a scrambler? Thoughts? Is it pokey enough? I ride a gixxer 750 which is plenty but I struggle with painful wrists when I ride it. Probably old age

There's loads of similar bikes available now. It depends what you want from the bike and what you want it for. I've not tried the Ducati scrambler but the Triumph one is a laugh. It's quicker and handles much better than it looks like it should.

I've ridden the Desert Sled version and was a bit disappointed but its 20kg heavier than all the other versions but with the same engine. I think all the other versions would be great to ride

The Triumph Scrambler and Street Twin is also worth a demo ride I had one as a courtesy bike for a week and it was huge fun.

Yes Kwacky I'm getting to old for sports bikes I've been doing a bit of homework and I fancy the 'Full Throttle'. LED lights and loud exhaust would be nice. I've read that the Termis aren't that loud on them unless you buy the sport line ones and get it Re-mapped. Plus it will be costly. I want a low mileage 2018 minimum for less than 7k. Wish me luck

I think it will take some finding tbh. I've not ridden one yet, so I might not even like it. I had been toying with a road legal off roader to potter round the local lanes but my uncle suggested a Ducati Scrambler. The problem is I always want the best I can get for the right money and that usually ends up being more expensive than I want. Ducati Worcester have a scrambler in at the moment but I don't fancy a test ride in this weather. My uncle knows Dorian the gaffer there, he might do me a deal?

I fully appreciate that. 2 months ago I was looking at older Thruxton 900’s and ended up buying a late model 1200R for over double what I originally budgeted

The missus has a Scrambler Icon Dark.

Its a fun machine. Handles well but is a very big change from a GSXR 750.

Bars will feel very wide compared to clipons but you wont have problems with your wrist. You can get loads of different bars too - we changed the Icon Dark's bars to the full throttle bars as they were better imo.

Worth a test ride for sure, but don't expect a Street Triple experience.
