Re: Coming out
Yep I liked the Thruxton RS too.
@Duke I assume it would be an edition to the street triple?

Yes. I'm not selling the Street. It's too much fun.
Much depends on how work goes over the next few months. At the moment it's not great.

Re: Coming out
I had a Speed Twin ( and the Street Twin) as loan bikes last year.
Both great bikes but it is a different way of riding as they rely on torque rather than horsepower.

Re: Coming out
The Speed Twin is a bit 'front heavy'. Whether that can be changed by set up i don't know but it does ride very 'flat'.
I actually thought the Street Twin was more fun to ride.

Re: Coming out
I had a test ride on a Triumph ThunderBird 1700, and liked it... I did get grumbled at for scraping both foot boards.

Re: Coming out
Personally a Thruxton or a Speed Twin, both fun in my opinion. Either would make you grin from ear to ear I'm sure

Re: Coming out
Have you seen the newish Royal Enfield Interceptor and Continental GT? Less than 5k and getting some really good reviews. Spondon designed frame and a decent little engine.duke63 wrote:Not in a Philip Scofield kind of way.............

After several thousand miles around India and Nepal on Enfields 20 years ago I wouldn't have touched one with a barge pole, but these twins look like really good bikes.

Re: Coming out
Sutton Honda have two low mileage Scramblers in.
Rich just called me, he wants me to take the Rocket out for a blast.
He reckons the Street Twin is the bike to have. Handling and performance are beyond expectations.

Re: Coming out
the Street Twin was the one i had for a week last summer when waiting for the Street Triple. 60 odd bhp but way more than the sum of its parts.
There are quite a few bikes of this ilk i would like to try.
I wouldn't mind trying the Royal Enfield Interceptor and also the Moto Guzzi V85 TT
