BMW GSA1250 Low - quick review

TL;DR; I don't like it!

The good:
The new TFT dash is a thing of beauty (apart from some of the colours). Really easy to read and very well layed out.

The bad:
The rest of the bike.
I don't like the boxer engine, it's horrible for commuting, it feels very lumpy. The gear shift assist is about as refined as a caveman, which makes the gearbox feel horrible. The led headlights are rubbish, nowhere near bright enough on country lanes. The suspension is fine in dynamic when you are riding briskly in the dry, otherwise it's not very nice and I had no confidence at all riding home in the wet. And then there's the colour and design of the bike.

The front end styling is definitely a brave move on BMW's part.

I'm never quite sure what the GS is trying to be.

Its too big and heavy to be a dual purpose bike for most of us, yet its compromised as a road bike by trying to be that.

I didnt enjoy the GS test ride but loved the RS.

Very surprised at how much of a shake you could get on with it and how well it corners for what is perhaps wrongly perceived as a boring , old man's bike.
