KTM 450 Rally

At the Lyndon Poskitt evening, he had two of his bikes on display.

One was his 750 KTM Rally which he used to travel round the world and the other was his KTM 450 rally which he does the Paris-Dakar on ( as its now limited to 500cc capacity.

The KTM450 rally is a proper bit of kit. KTM make about 75 a year from what i understand and they only sell them to those who will use them as intended (no museum or collection people)

They cost circa £25k for the basic bike but can go up to £40k + with additions.

They are built to withstand the toughest environments but Mr Poskitt can rebuild his from the tyres upwards and does build specials from them for selected people. His had a specially built WP frame as he is 6ft 4 tall and needs extra room to be able to stand properly.

They are listed on the KTM website but info is limited.

Proper weapon.. apart from price I'd say there's quite a bit of info on the site, I looks to be quite simple and purposeful compared to the road machines we are all used to.

Needs an ohlins rear shock though (bandit)

I would love a go but I suspect they are a bit of an animal TBH but power and torque are figures KTM don't seem to quote. Poskitt did say the 750 has double the torque of the 450.

He builds specials for customers, here is the link to his webpage. You can spend as much again.
