'Stepping back from public life'
A prison cell would be more appropriate for what he appears to have been up to.
Strange how justice seems not relevant to the rich and privileged more and more these days.
Time for a revolution.

His antics are a family trait.
Have a look at the CIA/FBI reports on Mountbatten and his wife. Not pleasant reading.

Other than an ill thought out friendship with a paedophile, nothing else is provable. She was a young prostitute that was well paid, nothing more.
She doesn't have the look of a slave.
That doesn't change the fact that he's an arrogant, overbearing, self effacing idiot who really should've known better.
When he stops falling I hope the sudden stop doesn't hurt too much, well maybe a bit.

Hopefully he is currently shitting bricks with Ms Maxwell now being arrested.
With any luck it will finish the monarchy off for good.

The monarchy has endured much worse and survived....flourished even - I don't see it going away anytime soon.
But you'd be in a better position to know..

The younger generation have no interest in the monarchy. Their days are numbered.

I appreciate having a Monarchy but they have zero use other than for tourism. The country would be a bit more dull without them though.
It would be absolutely hilarious seeing Charles face if the monarchy ends with his mother's death. He would not be a happy boy!

That'd be great!
Oh, I've no doubt he'll be crowned, but I'm guessing his role, his profile, won't be anything like as prominent as his mother's....it can't be, she's been there for 70 years.

I doubt Charles would be that bothered in all honesty. Don’t think he has ever really wanted to be king especially this late in life.

I'm not so sure mate.
Don't you get the feeling that he is actually quite politically motivated at heart, and not aligned to the mainstream parties either.?
I could quite see him upsetting the status-quo if he were monarch, and I suspect that opinion may be shared by some others who are most intrinsically linked,

If Tony Blair can get away with starting an illegal war based off false alegations then Prince Andrew can rape your sister in the entrance to a Police Station and still get away with it. He's never getting done for any of it despite it being crystal clear that he did it.
