A battery you can recharge in 30 seconds and it contained biological material.

The bio-organic battery utilises tiny self-assembling nano-crystals that were first identified in research being done into Alzheimer's disease at Tel Aviv University 10 years ago.

The nano-dots are described by StoreDot as "stable, robust spheres" that are 2.1 nanometers in diameter and made up of peptide molecules

Very clever stuff. Scary too. It won't be too long before they've got these nanos operating inside us to sort out physical problems.

Audi are now making a fuel to replace petrol that is derived from bacteria, salt and water.

All clever stuff.

I know cancer research is currently working on developing a virus that will attack only cancer cells.

Manufacturing fuel and other consumables is one thing, but manufacturing a virus is kind of scary. Do they not watch horror / scifi films ??

I wish they'd hurry. As I am getting older, I am desperately hoping that they fix everything. including old age.

I have some tins of spam you can share with me when the worst happens. Of course you will have to understand that I am the new king and you may be required to have sex with me.

I'm not going to answer that personal question.

I'm just nipping down to the butchers for some liver to put in my jam jar.

It won't be that fresh for long. The marinade should keep it moist though.
