Has gone into administration. Not good news for 27,000 people on holiday and 100,000 (apparently) people who have got holidays booked. My partner is one of them, she has paid her money up front...this has taught us both a lesson we will now use credit card from now on. I've read what people have said on facebook and they have been allowing people to book all week.

Fiver says it down to the 16% we've just lost against the Euro.

I suspect more may follow in these turbulent times.

My MD bought a few million Euros the night before the vote, so I'm ok for the next few months. Hopefully we'll bounce back, been here before in 2008 when we hit parity and I got through it. Fingers and toes crossed!

Kwacky I'm unsure. They should be ATOL protected but they gave it up years ago apparently, a travel agent said so, on one of the comments on the low cost holidays pictures. I'm not too clear of the ins and outs of all this. I think they have been very naughty allowing people to book and pay off their holidays right up until the last-minute.

My partner has got in touch with the airline and they have said they haven't received payment and she also messaged the hotel to ask whether the hotel has been paid for, I know airline hasn't been paid just waiting on the hotel, I'm 100% certain they wouldn't of been paid though so now she has got a week off with no money to go anywhere.

Poor staff being told yesterday that was going to be their last shift, I do wonder if the company pulled all staff members into the office or if they just received emails/ texts like a few years ago with certain other companies.

It's a Spanish company so there's unlikely to be any protection. Sorry mate.

Problem is a company is either in administration or not.

If the public get pre warned a company is in trouble they will almost certainly go bust in the next few days afterwards.
