I really do fancy a R1 next but the 1299 is hugely desirable too.

Do they come with a spare gearbox?

I reckon all the 2016 bikes will have the problem rectified.

One of the reasons I wouldn't buy a new model in its first year is most end up with a recall of some kind or another.
