Triumph Tiger 800

Post by Kwacky »

What's the difference between the XCX and the XRX?

Been offered a test ride on these and I'm not sure what each one offers.

The XR is more road orientated than the XC.

Test rider on the 800 XRX booked for Saturday lunchtime.

Review to follow.

There's a Kawasaki dealership next door, I might try the Z1000SX out afterwards.

Road has cast wheels, XCX has spoked.

XCX also has WP suspension.

Cheers D6.

I like the look of the spoke wheels But I'll never be going off road. Not unless I go through a hedge by mistake. :D

Blade, the kwak equivalent of the Tiger and the Tracer is the Versys, which looks crap and dated IMO. I wouldn't get one but I suppose that's what I should test to see how it stands up. I don't think it's the electronic features of the Triumph and the Yamaha. I'll ask them when I go to the kwak dealers. If I was after a second bike then the Z1000sx would be the one I would go for.

If I've got time and they've got the Versys and the z1000 I might try both.

I think the Z1000sx is a very nice all round bike.

That is useful, I can compare it to the other bikes I'll be testing this weekend.

The new range of Tigers are supposed to have a great deal of unseen changes to them. Making them even better. I must arrange a test ride. If I was to buy another one, which is very possible, it would be the road going version... sick of spoked wheels... ha ha cleaning them sucks and brings back memories.

If I had spoked wheels it would be like owning a powered Raleigh Grifter :D

I had a grifter, I also had those exact lights in the picture, and a Chopper plus a Budgy. Yes Darren a Budgy!

Ha ha I had those lights as well, I had a hybrid that I made when it came to bikes. I had a chopper, which I had extended forks on and a standard saddle, it used to win me wheelie comps against the next estate ha ha. 26 white lines was my record, I will never forget that ha ha.
