From what I've read Page 3 is continuing on the online version of the paper, so it's not totally gone.

Why are they getting rid of it? Is it now causing offence to people?!

I'm glad they are doing it of their own volition rather than the edict of some 'loony left wing politician'.
I suspect they are concentrating on making sure Ed Miliband gets nowhere near any position of power or trust.

Old fashioned...omd you know what this means then don't you. Look at things like telly, music, everything is all the same and musicians just do covers now but somehow they are making amazing music, so they are prob keeping the same idea ONLY NOW it's going to be semi naked blokes!

I really can't see what hte protests have acheived. There's still the Daily Star and The Sport and it's never difficult to find photos of breasts on the internet.

The campaign that's claiming victory on this aren't after porn in general, they just want it removed from the breakfast table.

Fwiw it has no place in a newspaper imho, perhaps a really good idea would be to actually put some real news in the Sun and leave the boobs online where they belong. Page 3 is a relic, it's beyond time it was pensioned off.

It was rebelious when it came out. That soon wore off.
