Re: eBay or MCN classified
I've never sold on eBay, but that's where I found the track bike. The obvious down sides of eBay have to be the fees and the number of idiots who get pissed up and buy when they can't afford to pay.
Had you considered a blade specific forum? Probably a better bet of getting genuine buyers who actually know what they are buying.

Yeah will post on 1000rr.co.uk.
But tbh most people on the forum have a Blade as that's the point of being a member so a bit chicken before egg but I get your point and it will be going on there as well as here very soon.

Re: eBay or MCN classified
I reckon MCN is likely to get a better type of buyer and paying £250 selling fee on ebay would be a bit of a choker.

EBay or the trader for me. All bling off the bike first though if you're selling? Have you considered just putting it back to standard and trading it in? Honda offered me really good money for my 675 if it was standard and I was spending 8k or over.

Re: eBay or MCN classified
Why not try Gumtree & Preloved. I recently sold my old Hyundai van using those free mediums & was literally inundated with people desperate to buy it for the full asking price.!
There were the same vans not selling on Evilbay & Autotrader for a lot less than I advertised mine for at the time.

Re: eBay or MCN classified
eBay has the best coverage .. It is around £30-40 to put a classified up I think and last for around 30 days. The only down side to eBay is getting idiots asking will you sell it for a £5 and messers but I've been looking recently and all other place's are dead. Gumtree is not bad but so many fake adverts and nicked bikes would put me off.
"80mph" sorry officer I possibly could not have done that I'm no Valentino Rossi.

Cheers for all the heads up lads.
Someone I know might be interested but if not I will try pistonheads and 1000rr.co.uk first before posting on eBay if no interest.

Re: eBay or MCN classified
Blade as the lads say there are the usual ones here's my ltd experience in selling or buying bikes (no jokes Kwacky).
Bike trader - serious people yet after a deal
eBay - fees are high
MCN - never used for either yet a good steer for pricing
At the end of the day I've bought or sold more bikes via the brand specific forums as people are more honest and happy to pay the price to get a bike they and others know the history of as it were.
Good luck with the sale Blade and I'll see you on 1000rr...

Cheers Cornish some good advice. Will go on pistonheads and 1000rr.co.uk asap.
If no serious interest after a week I will look at one of the pay to sell sites.

Don't forget the time of year as well mate. A lot of people will be skint until payday, so might be with holding out if your not in a rush to sell.

Re: eBay or MCN classified
Fait point Nutz but ideally I would like to pick something new up before insurance renewal at end of Feb. Its not essential but I can't buy a new bike until the old one goes as insurance becomes an issue with 3 bikes

Re: eBay or MCN classified
Your lucky it's only insurance thats a problem. Mrs Nutz has made it perfectly clear which part of my anatomy would become disconnected if I came home with a 3rd bike
