I wonder how hard it would be to de-restrict the street version and unlock the full 300+hp .

It's not possible according to Kawasaki as the H2R has different cams and head gasket. They have also electronically limited the roadbike to 186mph.
Interesting article in one of the mags this month where they talked to some UK-based supercharger/turbo charger experts who said it would be far cheaper and better to just add a supercharger to a ZX-10.

a zx10r isn't designed for a supercharger though. The H2 has been designed from the floor up around the supercharger.
Not that I'm suggesting a company in the business of selling superchargers would be looking after their own interests..........

I appreciate they may be blowing their own trumpet but they reckon it would cost about £6k to supercharge a ZX10 and it would make circa 250bhp.

How much of the electronic stuff would the zx10r have that you find on the H2?
If you want a big bike with big HP then super a busa

A ZX10 is fairly well-equipped on the electronics side i think.
Not convinced the old Busa's and ZZR1400 can compete with the latest 200bhp sportsbikes even adding extra power.

No, you're right about the older bikes. They're more hyper touring machines.
The price of the H2 is justified IMO. I don't think a zx10r would be the same ride.

Maybe i'm looking at it from the wrong angle.
I just think if i was spending that sort of cash on a bike i would want the bestest motorbike that money can buy in terms of power, handling and stopping. I think for that level of cash that are a few better options though buying an H2 would certainly stand out from the crowd.
I wonder if we'll get to see on out on the roads next summer?

But it's not as simple as bolting on a sc ,you need to lower the compression of the engine using different Pistons and head gaskets.bolt one on a normal bike and it would send destruct
Hopefully see a h2 on the road next year, one thing it's got is presence
