I would be interested to see what lap times Casey is putting in. Surely there competitive still as otherwise no value in his input.

Looking at that first pic it looks like his style has changed, or perhaps he's just a little rusty?

Anyway, comments?

I wish he would make his mind up. Either he's into motorbike racing or he's not. It would be good to see him against a revived Rossi and a dominant Marquez.

Thata a bit rough, there's a big jump from doing some testing to racing a full on MotoGP season. He didn't stop because he didn't like riding bikes anymore, it was the direction the sport was going. Unfortunately for him, I think it's changed for the better from a spectators point of view.

"I will be finishing my career at the end of this season in MotoGP, and go forward in different things in my life.

"After so many years of doing this sport which I love, and which myself and my family made so many sacrifices for, after so many years of trying to get to where we have gotten to at this point, this sport has changed a lot and it has changed to the point where I am not enjoying it.

"I don't have the passion for it and so at this time it's better if I retire now.


That sounds like a complete walk away to me.

It still reads to me that it was the politics of racing he had enough of, not riding. But I appreciate everyone can interpret it differently.

If you got the opportunity to do the bits you loved, e.g. fang awesome bikes around a track, without the hassle of the race meet circus, why wouldn't ya!

Probably wasn't a hard decision after racing for a year in the Dunlop Series (Feeder class for V8 Supercar Series) and not doing overly well and pulling the pin.

I hope he stops having a strop and gets back into it full time.

Dunno, got up in in a huff and be-lined for the galley for breakie.

I'd like to see him back. I'm really not bothered about a racers personailty, or if they are grumpy etc as I jsut watch the racing. I couldn't give a toss what they are like off the track to be honest. If I want someone that makes me laugh, I'll watch a comedian.

I'd like to see more on the grid that can consistantly fight for the top 5 spots.

Lorenzo, Stoner, Rossi, Marquez, Pedrosa all together would make for some great races.
