Repairing Carbonfibre exhaust hanger...ideas please

Hi guys and girls.
I'm thinking of buying a 2nd hand Taylormade Exhaust for the CBR1000RR and a lovely chap off another forum has one for sale yet it has got some damage to where it fits on to the rear-set and secures to the bike.
From the picture below the securing hole has been snapped, so i was wondering what ideas any of you had for getting it repaired? Its going to be hidden by bolts ultimately, so i was thinking maybe:-
- drill and rivet on a plate with a hole in it to secure the bolt through
- bond one to it to use
- get it repaired professionally
So what's your views? Clearly I'm spending a lot on the system so wish to keep costs to a minimum....:-)
Need to go back to him tomorrow so get typing...
Thanks in advance, Cornish
