Well here it is, the first video of me trying to find my way round Donnington Park. The first lap is following an instructor so keep an eye on the lines as he was showing them to me...

Don't know quite what has happened to the quality of the video, it's full HD here but the upload seems to have screwed it down to a really low quality..

You were overtaking quite a few in that.

Looks like you're taking the same line as me into Redgate which forces you out wide.

Yep, the next session was my little trip, I'll post that one soon.

I really like most of donnington. I want to have another go next year to try and do better. In the mean time my plan is to do brands hatch next. The hairpin will help me get my braking confidence sorted.

How many were in the group as looks like loads of space on track. My experience at Oulton Park is quite often like riding on the M6 at rush hour.

Perkle's mate don't spend £300+ on a GoPro get one of these for less than a 1/4 of the price but with 95% of the quality, plus its interchangeable with all the other brands fittings and connections.

Yes IMO, but try the links below and make your own mind up. Its just a suggestion and thought it would save some of your hard earned

The SJ4000 is not quite as good as the GoPro obviously, but for 20% off the cost its the better buy IMO and more than up to the job of biking video footage.

Plus if it is lost of the bike or damaged in the crash its not such an expense to replace.

The group was fully booked, not sure how many bikes that was but it was quite busy.

The first session was the worst, I think because of the 3 sighting laps everyone ended up bunched together. The normal sessions they seemed to be gathering every one in pit lane before opening the pits and then only allowing 6 or so bikes out in a small pack. What ever they did seemed to work really well as I managed quite a few laps with some clear track. I'm not sure it was always quite so successful as rocket did mention a couple of times that he was struggling to get clear track.

Blade, Donington is a big wide track. A proper GP track.

You can see why its totally impractical to have GP bikes or cars racing anywhere other than Donington or Silverstone in this country once you have ridden them.
