Seen something I want for the bike but they're charging $25 postage and $25 custom duty for a $100 item.

Seems very steep to me.

If I get someone stateside to buy it and send it to me as a gift without an invoice do I dodge the taxes?

I've been charged for some second hand stuff I bought from the states before. So wouldn't say it's a defo. Can't remember if he marked it gift now. IT was something off ebay.

I bought a couple of things and got someone in the us to send it to me. He was only on the d600 site though..

It does work if you know someone.

Something I can help you with, Rich? Sorry I'm so late to the game, been out of the country until late Saturday.

Also, I tried PMing you about this but I show nothing in my sent folder? Not sure I'm doing it right
