They don't refuse insurance for a race can. If they do anything they slightly increase the premium, but a road legal race can makes no difference to the risk. Do the Police really think Insurance companies want to spend their Saturdays dealing with calls from coppers?

im sure I declared mine and all they said was "does it change the power output by more than 10% coz if not it dont make a difference" plus mines road legal anyway when the baffle is in,

Same here my zorst sounds better and is half the weight of the original but no extra bhp so the insurance company wasn't arsed when I tried to declare it.

It's not even every motorbike they go for. How often do you see the chromed up cruisers get a tug?

Chromed up cruisers are the loudest pipes going a lot of the time

Whats road legal ?

Has to be E marked and not have a "not for road use" or "track use only" stamp, not sure on Db levels but I think its around 98 but happy to be corrected

OK I have one bike which is e marked and has baffle fitted.

The other has no markings at all ? Where would I stand ? I think the e mark is relatively new.

Personally I was always informed no e mark meant it wasnt legal but I could be wrong guys, I would guess if you have the baffle in the chances of gettin a tug are relativley small

My bike has an OEM Honda plate riveted on the frame saying 98dba

No idea.

The rules aren't very clear. I've had a quick google but there's nothing I can find set in stone.

Could be useful if your original e mark fell off
