Been thinking of getting hand gaurds for the speed triple.

I know they aren't brilliant looking, but the ones below don't look too bad.

I want something that give a little weather protection (especially when it gets colder) and with the indicator built in, I think it is more noticable when I have my flashers on.

I bought some like that for my CB1000r.

I didn't get chance to fit them.

Fwiw I think they look a great idea, and they would suit your ST down to the ground. Good spot D6.

I wonder what route the cabling takes.?

Via the back wheel if D6 tries to do it.

And as you say, any additional signalling which other road users may see is a bonus

I think the wire route through the handle bars to the switch gear, but its hard to tell. Although saying that, the bolt inserts would block it so not sure. The pics show a Triumph Tiger, so it should be compatible with mine.

Simply Insert Handguard Spacers Into The End Of Your Handlebar & Tighten. As You Tighten, The Spacer Expands Inside Your Handlebar & Becomes Tight, Locking The Handguards Into Position

Would you need to loose your bar ends to fit them, if so is the lack of the weight on the end of the bar going to cause lots of extra vibrations ??? I don't know the answer to the question, but other more smarter peeps on here may do..

No. You've got the weight of the handlebar guards and the spacers they're talking about are pretty decent. So the weight it probably more than the stock bar ends.

I've found they work fairly well, keeping the worst of the wind off and keeping the direct penetrating rain drops off the front of your hands, they might not be cosmetically everyone's cup of tea, but he who laughs last as they say....
