Re: What are you doing today ??
Did my Christmas shopping, kids ended up getting pretty expensive scooters as by the time I found a shop that sold them I had had enough, unfortunately it was a pro shop so it cost me a bomb.

Currently sitting watching TV wearing my new Lid. Mrs C00kie looks a little bemused, but its got to be done to bed it in a bit. (and the weather is too wet to go try it)

Managed to get out for run 1, the a bit of Christmas shopping, and the physio.
Had a look at new trainers, will wait for the sales though.
Just chilling a bit now before run 2

Re: What are you doing today ??
It’s Christmas Eve! Well it is in my house today
which means I’ll be wrapping pressies and shopping for Christmas lunch goodies. Weather is good so if I can get a chiro appt and get my neck to release the tight muscle, Jess and I might head out on the bike for an hour or two.

Re: What are you doing today ??
Got a 2 hour ride in, saw the chiro, and finished wrapping presents at midnight. Then got an email from work saying they don’t want me using sick leave for my surgery and that I need to organise it during my time off. So currently wide awake at nearly 2am stewing over that. The date the surgeon gave me was due to a cancellation and I would be looking at a 6 month delay to try and fit it in one of my breaks and stuff up my custody as I won’t be in a fit state to have my kids.
Maybe this should’ve been in the rant thread.

Christmas Day!!
Presents all unwrapped and kids have broken in the Nintendo Switch and the scooters. Pork Roast and veges about to go in the oven. Weather is a bit average for swimming but feels like it may be warming up so kids will hopefully get a splash in.

Re: What are you doing today ??
Off to do a parkrun this morning in honour of a friend who passed away this week.
I've run with him for about 3 years and he was an amazing runner who loved his park runs. Fit as a fiddle, but had a stroke last weekend. Not 100% sure how old he was, but I'm guessing late 40's early 50's. Just shows how precious life is and why we should enjoy every second we have.
