Nice one Bratty glad you got it sorted and they did something with the price for you.Bratty wrote:Mike not got back yet but I think he's really busy at the moment, the price for the service has gone down a bit as there seems to be a bit of a staff issue there but can't really say on here but I'll explain when I next see you, I'm also dropping it off at 8.45 and they are giving me a courtesy bike to use for work then pop back at 5.30 to pick it up that way I don't need to lose time and money from work.Kwacky wrote:Mike no good?
At least you know where you stand with the guys at Honda. You've got a good relationship with them.

Took the Tiger to bits yet again and might actually have sorted it this time, mind you it's been a few weeks since the last time I had a go at sorting it as I was just fed up to the back teeth with trying everything I could think of and failing.
Things always seem easier after a break don't they?
Oh yes I also sorted a problem with a mirror that's been there for3 yrs anda problem with the seat that's been there since I bought the bike. Today was a good day.

Those days are good.
I put the brake lever guard back on after losing the grub screws.
Made arrangements to pick up the replacement plastics for the kwak.

Oh come on Deegee, you can't keep us in suspenders.: What was this elusive issue in the end.?
( Or perhaps you are avoiding tempting fate by announcing that, before you are absolutely certain.?)

Re: What did you do to your bike today ??
Got it in one StM, I've been in the same place previously with that bike - to the point of cancelling an MOT an hour or so before arrival, so along with not putting tools away until a job is tested ok I also don't tempt fate by declaring all's fixed when I'm not 100% sure, 30+ yrs of fixing things has taught me to be circumspect.StMarks wrote:...perhaps you are avoiding tempting fate by announcing that, before you are absolutely certain.?)

Re: What did you do to your bike today ??
Transit van and a very larger trailer have overturned on the M40 so I'm glad I was on the bike.
Just the one muppet who refused to move over so I pinged the bike off the rev limiter until he finally noticed me.

Gave the beemer some loves lol. Just had its first mot with an advisory note about the rear brake... He had to push his foot all the way down and then some to get it to work lol. Adjusted that this rainy afternoon and gave her a good clean and polish.

Checked the tyre pressures.

Spanked it.
Washed it.
Noticed an oil leak I think my Kwak has been spending too much time with those dirty Triumphs.

Re: What did you do to your bike today ??
It's been infected!
I spent the afternoon finishing servicing and checking both bikes. Chains, forks, brakes, cleaning, new fuel. Both sparkling now.
I then decided to take them for a test ride. So it rained as I got my leathers out
Maybe next week then.
