I think I'm looking forward to learning how you get on, nearly as much as you're looking forward to the event Cav..Cav wrote:Haha... I'll post some footage hopefully of me going crazy!
I'd love to learn a few things this trackday:
1: How to 'back it in' to a corner
2: How to effectively use the rear brake
3: Elbow down
Not jealous, much ....

P.S. can't help with No's 1&2, but I've plenty of experience of getting my elbow down..

Just involves an involuntary dismount & "bang" : elbow, helmet, gloves, the lot. Simples.

Haha... I should really start stretching to be honest - I'm far from Marquez's gymnast physique
I actually think I've got the order right in terms of difficulty too. Backing it in essentially comes from going faster, rear brake is an entirely seperate entity. Elbow down is just for lunatics

Well the 31 year old GB passed the inspection no worries but on the long way home a bar end mirror went missing! No idea where, I looked down to do a mirror check and it was gone!!Rossgo wrote:Hope.it went well Kiwi
They were cheap nasty knock offs already fitted when I bought it, so going to replace with these, pretty much the same just chrome and better quality

It was the RH side mirror so in the middle of the road, so just hope it didn’t cause anyone else any grief.Rossgo wrote:For some reason Kiwi I can't see the site. That mirror looks identical to the one I had fitted to the R/H clipon of my GT250 back in the 70's

What do you mean grief.....do you mean if someone else had to look at it?!kiwikrasher wrote:It was the RH side mirror so in the middle of the road, so just hope it didn’t cause anyone else any grief.Rossgo wrote:For some reason Kiwi I can't see the site. Re: What did you do to your bike today ??
Meaning someone driving along behind me may have had a mirror tumble down the middle of the road at speed towards them, or at the least I left an obstacle lying in the middle of the road.Rossgo wrote:What do you mean grief.....do you mean if someone else had to look at it?!kiwikrasher wrote:It was the RH side mirror so in the middle of the road, so just hope it didn’t cause anyone else any grief.Rossgo wrote:For some reason Kiwi I can't see the site. Also a tea cake if you’re from the right part of South Yorkshire. My Yorkie colleagues were eating tea cakes and pork dripping this morning, fair made me hurl tbh.duke63 wrote:bap = bread roll

Fwiw they’re all bread rolls, slightly flattened.

Bap or barmcake down this neck of the woods.
Bacon Bap
Chip Barm
Sausage Scuffler
Guess it depends on what your having on it.
