Chilled day today. Been up to see Perkles then spent the afternoon watching GP racing and treating the Versys to some TLC.

Chilling in preparation for a week away at HQ due to a rush job caused by the Sales dept's complete absence of planning.

There's a big office move going, all 4 wings are being moved around. They're doing it during the day, starting with the wing I work in.
It's not disruptive in the slightest.........
Thankfully I'm out for 2 or 3 days this week.

Re: What are you doing today ??
Today was my little girls 8th birthday, missed it by a matter of days as I'm home on Wednesday. Got a couple of phone calls into her and plan to spoil the pants off her when I get back.
But something else made up for the disappointment of missing Jorja's birthday.
Last break home Byron was tasked (as was the whole school) with writing a speech on multiculturalism for a regional speech comp. The best of the school go forward as reps.
I worked with him to get it written and it was a struggle but once we got on the right track he gathered momentum. His topic was "Words can Hurt". By the time he had finished writing it he had a really solid speech.
I had to come out to work so never got to help him practice. But I did get him to read it out over the phone to me a few times and helped fine tune it and his technique.
Well he was in the first group of the class to give their speeches today and he smashed it!! Score of 21/24!! He got a 3/4 for eye contact was was incredible as for kids with ASD eye contact is extremely hard.
Very proud Dad moment

Excellent result.....speaking in front of a group of people can be VERY nerve-wracking.

It can be and I was terrified of it at his age. I now give presentations to 100+ people on a weekly basis while Offshore as a Safety Rep and feel quite comfortable doing so. I've had formal training through my career and spent time as a Techincal Instructor while the the Air Force. So I'm hoping my experience helped him somewhat, but in the end of the day, he did it. He got up, did his best and his hard work paid off. That's what I'm most proud of, he put the effort in. It's not generally the case with him and I really pushed him with this, but gently and encouragingly. Having a child with learning and social difficulties isn't easy, but it's made me grow as a Dad much more than if he'd been neurotypical. I just wish for him to be the best that he can, and today he showed me he just may achieve that.

Yep.....and the more you do it, the less you puke before you hit the stage.
Or so I've heard it said.

Been to see Perkles at the QE.
Get yourself well, mate and you can take the 853 out for a spin.

Your 853 sounds like a great project and an awesome bike

Re: What are you doing today ??
Exam did not go well... only one question I could answer.
Long story short, just before we went into the exam hall someone started reading their notes out loud, they used different methods to me with different equations which threw me off and I couldn't remember how to do everything
