It was fecking windy this morning. I hate the wind when you're riding in traffic.

Re: What did you do to your bike today ??
That's pretty much an impossible task on the Versys. I can get the front to lift a couple of inches at most but it doesn't like to hold that position. I'm sure it's possible but I'm not that gifted.Cavetroll87 wrote:

It's gone cold again. I had the heated grips on this morning. I must be getting soft in my old age.

Took the 853 to Cornerspeed to have the new flywheel fitted.
Found the oil cooler was starting to leak as its been rubbing on the fairing screws. It needs replacing and there are none in the UK.
So was pissed off.
On the flipside, Neil lent me his courtesy bike, a Monster 797 to get home. This bike is awesome. So much fun. Less is definitely more.
Starting to think my next bike might not need to have 150bhp.

Had the cooler worn through at a point then? Could it be repaired?duke63 wrote:Took the 853 to Cornerspeed to have the new flywheel fitted.

We always want what we have not got, i guess.
As a pure fun bike to take round twisty roads, less is definitely more.
@cookie - The general advise seems to be that there is too much pressure through an oil cooler to repair it and aluminum will not weld with oil about.

No, I think that’s a need. He’s buying a whole new house so he NEEDS to fill the garage up with toys.
