Re: What did you do to your bike today ??
Gave the 675 a good run over the local roads. It was nice to be out on the bike but there is so much mud and gravel on the roads. i can not remember a the last time i saw it as bad.
Also gave a guy a good talking to not aggressive just tried to explain that doing a u turn on the snake pass was dangerous and that he was going to hurt someone. He looked at me a bit gone out and was more interested in asking for directions then tried to tell me i was speeding passed him...... Err Nope i was waving my finger and telling him off for the ludicrous move he just pulled . I was not trying to fight with him i was trying to explain and maybe save someones life. DICK HEAD

Just shy of 300 miles up to Windermere then a loop round Torver, Coniston, Ambleside and back to Bowness before heading home, some very tight technical roads up there still covered in salt and slippery stuff.
The MT impressed, as always and there was quite a group of us from all over the place.

It was nice to find (relatively) warm , dry roads and give 'er some stick

It was a foggy ride into work today. I reckon about 20% of cars had no lights on at all. Fecking idiots.

This rain can do one. It was really heavy this morning. Then I got an island and it was covered in diesel. Rain and diesel is not a good mix. You could smell it, that's how much had been dumped on the road.
I can't believe that it's acceptable for a vehicle to throw a hazardous substance on the road. Yet no government has tackled the issue.

I was very surprised how well the bike handled the road it glided over the road were i expected it to be unsettled. I did not really open it up as the tc was not working. (i tried to calibrate it with out reading the book). I am very pleased with how it rode and can not wait to experience it again.

Have fun tomorrow.
The Versys has had a decent scrub and polish. The fact it's a budget bike is showing in some parts. A few of the fastners and the gear linkage look tired and weathered despite being looked after over winter.

Had my first observed run with me IAM observer. No one died, so that's a bonus.
I'll update the IAM thread later on.
